Do you have a bill from Henry Ford-GoHealth Urgent Care?

 Your financial responsibility

After insurance has paid its portion of the bill, most deposits and co-payments are due at the time of service.

You are financially responsible for all non-emergency services. You are expected to pay the full balance within 20 days of receiving your bill. We offer financial assistance and payment plans if you cannot pay.

Prior to receiving care, it is important to understand that while your insurance may cover a portion of your costs, you are still responsible for out-of-pocket expenses. Knowing the potential costs and having a plan for payment will save you stress in the future.

Need assistance understanding your financial obligations? Monday through Thursday, 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., and Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., call (800) 999-5829 to speak with a Customer Service Representative.

What can I expect to pay at my visit?

With a few exceptions, you are responsible for paying for most services at the time of care. This includes deposits and the majority of co-pays.

Contact your insurance provider or one of our billing customer service representatives at (800) 999-5829 to determine your anticipated payment. Monday through Thursday, 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., and Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Understand your insurance coverage

You are responsible for understanding your plan's specific rules for covered services, approved providers, referrals, authorizations, and out-of-pocket expenses.
  • Verify that your plan is on our list of accepted insurance plans. If your health insurance plan does not have a contract with Henry Ford Hospital and Medical Centers, you may still see a Henry Ford Medical Group physician with a referral and/or authorization.
  • It is crucial that we have your correct insurance information on file in order to bill your insurance correctly. You are responsible for any fees incurred if the provided information is inaccurate.
  • Before your procedure or visit, call your health plan to find out what is and is not covered. Additionally, there may be procedures that require prior authorization, referrals, etc.

What if I do not have insurance?

Unless it is an emergency, patients without insurance (self-pay patients) are required to make deposits before services are rendered. We characterise Self-Pay as
  • A patient who cannot provide evidence of valid health insurance and for whom no such evidence is on file.
  • A patient who requests medical care that is not covered by his or her insurance.
  • A patient who is enrolled in an unaccepted health plan and lacks the necessary referral or authorization.
If you are paying out-of-pocket, do not have insurance, or are seeking care at Henry Ford Health for services not covered by your health plan, these costs are expected to be paid prior to receiving care.

Your office visit will be rescheduled if you are unable to pay for services and charges incurred prior to your scheduled, non-emergency outpatient visit or if you have not established a payment plan with one of our financial counsellors.

Our pricing specialists can provide you with an estimate of the cost of a particular service. They can be reached at (888) 455-2677.

If you will be unable to pay for care, please review our Financial Assistance page.
